Welding Service
“Welding” generally refers to the joining of pieces of metal. While the process may be accomplished by forging or compression, today in a manufacturing setting the term generally refers to the selective application of high temperatures that cause pieces of metal to melt and indelibly fuse. Manufacturers use welding to facilitate assembly during part manufacturing and as a way to cut metal. Welders typically add metal to the joining area between metal parts during the welding process.
Welding manufacturing refers to an assembly process that can be manual or automated. It helps fuse pieces of metal into a strong joint. The term “weldment” describes the joining of two metal surfaces into a single unit during the assembly process.
